  • November 4, 2020
Due to a rising number of COVID-19 cases within the community, including confirmed cases impacting staff and students, the Braymer C-4 School district will be extending virtual education for all students through Friday, November 20th. Thanksgiving break will be a break from instruction and will continue as scheduled, beginning Saturday November 21st and continuing through Sunday, November 29th. The district currently plans to return to face-to-face instruction beginning Monday, November 30th.

INSTRUCTION: Virtual instruction will continue through the use of Google Classroom and Seesaw. Students are expected to be logging into their digital classrooms daily, checking for new work and completing assignments. The majority of students have done a great job over the past week keeping up with online school work. Please keep in mind that students are receiving grades during this time impacting both the earning of credits toward graduation (grades 9-12) and promotion to the next grade level (grades K-8).

BUILDING USE & EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: At this time the use of building facilities is being postponed for all activities other than varsity athletics. This includes postponing the use of building facilities for all outside organizations. Junior High basketball is currently postponed through Friday, November 6th.

Due to a positive COVID-19 test with a faculty member and specific staff needing to quarantine, the Braymer C4 School District will move to on-line instruction starting tomorrow afternoon, October 26th, and continuing through Thursday, November 5. The scheduled return date for students will be Friday November 6, 2020. We are asking that all students attend tomorrow morning as normal to pick up devices and or assignment packets as well as get instructions from classroom teachers. School will be dismissed at 11:00 am. No Food Service will be provided tomorrow.

Because this particular case is related to staffing and there is no known direct exposure to students, extra-curricular activities including practices and games will continue as normal. This is subject to change should the situation change.

Vo-Tech will run as regularly scheduled.

Thank you for your continued support.

  • Braymer C4 School District Families:

It is hard to believe, but some weather forecasts are calling for the possibility of accumulating snow next week. Due to changes in the weather “school make up day” rules we can now cancel face to face classes due to inclement weather while still holding classes on-line. This would mean that some inclement weather days would not have to be made up at a later time in the school year. The on-line class days are defined as “Distance Learning”. Inclement weather determinations will continue to be made as in the past. The difference will be in how school cancelation days are to be defined; “No School, All classes canceled” or “No School, with Distance Learning”. The school district will communicate the type of day along with the inclement weather information. In the event of a “No School, with Distance Learning” day, students will need to login to their seesaw and or google classrooms to get that day’s assignments.

Check out https://www.braymerbobcats.org/site/Default.aspx?PageID=224 for media outlets for up to date inclement weather information.

We greatly appreciate your continued support of the Braymer C4 School District.

    Braymer School District Administration.

We have received word today that during last Friday night's Football game a member of the visiting team was contagious with and then tested positive for Covid-19. Working in coordination with the Caldwell County Health Department the members of the Braymer Varsity Football team that played in the game will be under a 14 day quarantine. • Dear Bobcat Family,

September 5th update to the current Covid-19 situation. Working in coordination with the Caldwell County Health Department, our investigation information has been updated. As of today all of the 8th grade students, that had been potentially affected are now clear to resume regular “in school” classes. This means that the 8th grade class can attend in-class instruction starting Tuesday September 8th. Additionally all Jr. High sports and activities can also continue as regularly scheduled starting today. Thank you for your continued understanding and support of the Braymer C4 School District. Have a great weekend and Go Bobcats!

  • Dear Bobcat Family,

September 4th update to the current Covid-19 situation. Working in coordination with the Caldwell County Health Department, our investigation has determined that the Pre-School, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades will be allowed to return to school on Tuesday September 8th for in class instruction.

The investigation has also determined that a cohort of 8th grade students has potentially been exposed as well. We are still waiting on results from health officials to determine the extent of the exposure. This means, at this time, an 8th grade cohort of students will continue to receive classroom instruction on-line until we have further information. Only the affected 8th grade students will have to follow the current quarantine guidelines. The 8th grade students determined to be unaffected will be allowed to return for “in school” instruction on Tuesday September 8th. Affected 8th grade students will be contacted directly by a school official. This also means that until further information can be gathered about the status of the 8th grade cohort, Jr. High Softball and Jr. High Football face to face activities have been suspended for students currently quarantined. Activities for students not in quarantine may be impacted based on students available for practice/games.

We continue to encourage the wearing of masks for students and faculty, especially as we enter the fall allergy season where symptoms like sneezing or congestion are present in a number of viruses and allergy symptoms. If you believe your student may be sick it is important to keep them home until they are symptom free. Only by everyone doing their part can we limit the spread of not just Covid-19 but other viruses as well. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support during this difficult to navigate time. Go Bobcats!

    Dear Bobcat Family,

Due to a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 within the Braymer C-4 School District, we will be temporarily closing Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 8th grades for Friday September 4th, 2020. The district will work with the Caldwell County Health Department to conduct contact tracing and determine who we can safely bring back into the building starting Tuesday, September 8th. Staff and students determined to have been in “close contact” (CDC guidelines) with known positive cases will be on a 14 day quarantine from school. Students placed in quarantine will move to virtual (online) education starting Tuesday, September 8th and continuing for the duration of their quarantine. As has been the case throughout this pandemic, this is a constantly evolving situation, and the Braymer C-4 School District is committed to safely providing face-to-face education as much as possible. At this time there is no known close contact within the 7th grade, high school, or elementary grades 3-6. All extracurricular activities will continue as planned for students in grades 9-12. All students whose classes are closed for tomorrow, Friday September 4th, will not be allowed to participate or attend extracurricular activities including Friday night’s football game. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time.

  • Braymer C4 School District 2020-2021 Back to School Plan

    Parents, Guardians and Patrons:
As we begin to lay out plans for returning to school, we would like to first say that the Braymer C4 School District needs your help with returning to and maintaining face-to-face instruction. We know that the following “Back to School” plan will only have a chance of success if everyone is willing to do their part. It is our goal to have school in a normal face-to-face setting with some modifications. We understand there are varied views and beliefs on what should be done during this time. The fact remains that as a public school if we have a student or staff member become infected with the Covid-19 virus, the daily running of the school district will be altered, and the more positive cases we have the less likely it becomes for the district to maintain face-to-face instruction. Because of this, we are all in this together and we need your help to do what we can to keep people disease-free.

Visit Braymer C4 School District Web Site to see the current district plan:
