• Hello Bobcat Family,

We hope that everyone is enjoying their summer as we make preparations for the 2021-2022 school year.  We wanted to share some information regarding the return to school in August to help answer questions about the upcoming school year.  Below you will find some information about the 2021-2022 school year as well as a link to a survey that will allow you to provide feedback on blended learning options (should they become necessary in the upcoming school year).

    Beginning the Year:

Our plan is to start the school year with traditional in-person learning for all students. The school district will not offer “in-house” virtual instruction this year unless we are forced to move to a blended or fully virtual format due to COVID-19.

    Full-Time Virtual Students:

Virtual instruction for full-time virtual students will look significantly different in the 2021-2022 school year. As mentioned above the district will not offer “in-house” virtual instruction, meaning full-time virtual students will not be enrolled with Braymer teachers or in Braymer courses (they will still be enrolled with the district). Students wishing to be full-time virtual students will need to fill out an enrollment application form for MOCAP (Missouri Course Access and Virtual School Program), applications are available through the school office. For MOCAP, the school partners with LAUNCH through Springfield Public Schools. Full-time virtual students will receive all lessons, instruction and grading through the LAUNCH virtual program, taught by licensed Missouri school teachers.

    Masks

At this time the district plans to begin the year without mandating masks.

    Whole-School Blended Format

While our hope and intent is to remain fully in-person for the school year, it may be necessary to quarantine a student, group of students or class of students. Should that be necessary, blended learning (combination of in-person and virtual instruction) may be necessary. The school would like your feedback on the possibility of whole-school blended learning as an alternative to moving completely virtual should the need arise.  Please complete the following survey to let us know your thoughts on a blended learning format as an option prior to moving completely virtual in a worst-case scenario.
