School is about to begin . . .
I would like to welcome all 7-12 grade students for the 2009-2010 school year. I am looking forward to an exciting year of education for all students. School starts on August 19th. I have already noticed several students around the school as football and volleyball practice have already begun.
The 1st day of school will be a day filled with information for you and your student. The following items will be sent home and need attention.
Free and reduced lunch form, Enrollment card, parking application for those students who drive to school, legal fact brochure, school handbook, and a student health information sheet. All items need to be filled out, signed, and we would appreciate their return by August 28, 2009.
The handbook will be reviewed with students at school. However, it would be a good practice for you and your student to review it together. In the back of the handbook is a form needing both student and parent/guardian signatures. Thanks in advance for your support in helping us uphold the procedures outlined in the handbook.
I would like to invite all parents/guardians to our open house on August 26, 2009. In order to help make it easier for parents with elementary and secondary children to meet all of the teachers, the Open House will run on a staggered schedule. Elementary open house will be from 5:30 until 7:00 and secondary will be from 6:00 until 7:30. The high school will run on a condensed 8-period schedule. Students will bring home a letter on Tuesday, August 25th to write their schedules on so parents can follow their classes throughout the evening.
